Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) will sponsor a space-focused startup accelerator in Los Angeles, in collaboration with California-headquartered aerospace and defense accelerator Starburst Ventures, and Colorado-based seed accelerator Techstars, the latter announced Tuesday.

In addition to IAI, this new accelerator has formal sponsorship from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, and the U.S. Air Force.

Applications for the accelerator are open until April.

Government-owned IAI is Israel’s largest aerospace and defense company. It develops and markets defense systems for air, space, sea, land, cyber, and homeland security.
