Israeli website builder Wix announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its integration with Google to help users create and manage their Business Profile on Google Search and Maps, directly from the Wix platform. The integration hopes to provide business owners with a solution to manage their entire business from one place.

Business owners can manage their Google Business Profiles directly through Wix, completing functions such as updating their business information hours, adding photos, updating their website, creating posts, responding to reviews, or accepting bookings. As a platform that already offers customizable creation, management, and marketing tools to assist businesses with their needs, this expanded integration can now help Wix users utilize Google’s features without having to jump between the different platforms.

“We believe Google My Business is important for business owners to gain exposure and increase their customer base,” said Kobi Gamliel, Head of User Marketing at Wix. “We're happy to continue our partnership with Google and offer a seamless integration enabling our users to better optimize their online presence for engaging with customers and succeeding in today’s online landscape.”

Valerio Sudrio, Head of EMEA Google My Business partnerships at Google, added how “together with Wix, we’re providing essential tools that help business owners efficiently and instantaneously engage with new and existing customers online.”

Business Profiles that are up-to-date are considered 2.7 times more reputable and 70% more likely to attract location visits from locals. In a world now dominated with government lockdowns, it can be useful for, say, restaurants to quickly and easily update their Business Profiles to notify potential clientele if their establishment is available for sit down, take-out, or delivery options while the restrictions change by the day.
