Speaking at Calcalist’s Arab business conference in Nazareth on Monday, Tel Aviv Stock Exchange CEO Ittai Ben-Zeev called on Arab business leaders in Israel to list their companies on the exchange.
Successful Arab-owned businesses operating in Israel, including many family-run businesses, could benefit from going public, he added.

“It is time for Arab business leaders to enter the main gate to the Israeli economy,” Mr. Ben Zeev said. “I have no doubt that the right company will do a service to the Arab population and the entire Israeli economy.” While Arabs make up 20% of the overall Israeli population, no Arab-owned companies are currently listed on the TASE, Israel’s only stock exchange. “That says it all,” Mr. Ben-Zeev said.
