Adobe Closing Israeli R&D Center, Letting Employees Go

Adobe gained ownership of the center in Tel Aviv following its 2018, $4.75 billion acquisition of marketing software developer Marketo

Computer software company Adobe Inc. is closing its Israeli research and development center and letting its 25 employees go, the company confirmed following Calcalist's request for comment.

As part of Adobe's global strategy of focusing its areas of operation, the company has decided to relocate its operations in Tel Aviv to the U.S. by October 31, told Calcalist Yohai Golan, head of the Israeli center.

Adobe gained ownership of the center in Tel Aviv following its 2018, $4.75 billion acquisition of San Mateo-headquartered marketing software developer Marketo Inc. Marketo acquired Israeli website personalization company Insightera Ltd. in 2013 and turned it into the aforementioned center.
