Theator appoints Kavi Vyas as Chief Commercial Officer

Surgical intelligence platform theator has announced that it has appointed Kavi Vyas as its Chief Commercial Officer. Vyas will join its senior leadership to increase the company’s global visibility and accelerate institutional adoption of its platform that can tackle variability and disparity in surgical care.

Vyas has 15 years of experience in medtech and most recently served as VP Marketing at Viz.ai. Before that, he was at Penumbra, a healthcare company focused on technology. While there, he launched its Global Vascular and Neurovascular Embolization businesses.

Theator was founded in 2018 by Wolf and Dotan Asselmann, who serves as the company’s CTO. To date, the company has raised $18.5 million to help health systems gain deeper visibility across surgical departments and help surgeons pinpoint improve their performances. the company recently announced a new collaboration with Mayo Clinic’s urology and gynecology departments.
