AI Baby Monitor Startup Nanit Raises $14 Million

Nanit was founded in 2016 and operates out of offices in Tel Aviv and New York. Nanit raised nearly $30 million in funding to date. The company said it will use the additional funds to hire more computer vision and machine learning engineers and scale production. Nanit also said it will expand distribution to new markets including Canada and Europe.“Sleep has become one of the most important factors affecting our health and is part of an emerging category in the global high-tech arena,” JVP’s Mr. Margalit said in a statement. “Nanit takes the science of sleep one step forward and revolutionizes this field through computer vision and machine learning technology. Just as we know how to monitor our nutrition and physical fitness, Nanit enables the monitoring of each person's sleeping habits, the first stage starting off with babies.”
